I was very happy with the work done by Mr Lenarduzzi. The work was carried out expeditiously and was completed precisely in accordance with the schedule, an unprecedented achievement in my experience of domestic building work. The work did not cost any more than the quotation plus specifically agreed to variations. There were no “hidden surprises” at the end of the day.
Once demolition and construction commenced I was confident that we had selected the most appropriate Builder. The construction involved extending two existing structures of different ages, one over one hundred years old and one approximately sixty years old. I am a structural engineer and a director of Hughes Truman Pty Ltd. We are consulting engineering practice with specialisation in the restoration and adaptive re-use of heritage buildings and structures.
Mr Philip Lenarduzzi was the builder of one of our projects, ‘Bibury’ at Burradoo, in the year 2001.
The project was an extremely complicated and difficult restoration and conversion of an historically important building. It became apparent after the works commenced and wall linings were stripped that the building was in a very delicate state and in much worse structural condition than expected.
I was most impressed with the way that Phil rose to the challenge of returning the building to its former glory despite all the unexpected challenges.

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Lenarduzzi Builders.
Phil Lenarduzzi was the only builder of the three I contacted that bothered to come and look at my architect plans for the renovation to ‘Balnagowan’ in Moss Vale. After meeting with Phil I didn’t bother with anyone else, and construction commenced in June 1998.
The renovation was extensive and as well as being a hands-on perfectionist builder, Phil was extremely competent as a project manager. No problem was too great and if he saw an opportunity to save money without compromising the excellent standards required of the design, he always had a satisfactory solution. He developed an excellent relationship with both myself and the architect Deece Giles (who subsequently engaged him for a project of his own) and Phil and his tradespeople were always courteous, prompt and very communicative.
Then in around 2001? using the same architect I embarked on another renovation with Phil and his team and my expectations from the previous job were well met.
In 2005, we worked together again on ‘Hamilton Cottage’ in Hamilton Avenue and although the job was not as big as the first two, it was still reasonably significant and beautifully carried out by Phil and his team.

Philip’s knowledge, experience, professional attitude and general demeanour were second to none. His ability to deal with the changes I kept making, without frustration or rancour was the outstanding.
This was a reasonably complicated build with big spans, high ceilings and large glass panels, all of which he was able to coordinate without the slightest difficulty.
Outstanding two was finished product. His work and that of the tradesmen and subcontractors he employs is what I call “old school”. The finishes he has achieved in this house are perfect.
I recommend him to you without hesitation. You are dealing with the most reliable, honest fair and competent of men.
