Our Clients Say...

Nicholas and Anne Lo

The work was always completed in a timely manner and on schedule with great attention to detail, an outstanding standard and quality of finishes and expert craftsmanship. We are confident that with Phil’s experience to help guide and advise us to make fully informed decisions we avoided costly potential problems.

Angela Kent

The project was non-standard and Phil was more than willing to resolve architectural details in a most collaborative fashion. He brought years of experience, a team of trusted, local tradesmen and a positive manner to the job, which finished on time and within budget, given a fair amount of inevitable scope creep.

Andrew Leeming

I can’t speak highly enough of Phil and his team. The quality of his work, his professionalism, and reliability were exceptional. It was an absolute pleasure to work with him. Thank you Phil!

Dr David Elliott

Roger Pfund

Phil and his team of excellent tradespeople did a great job and with the attention to detail that is becoming more difficult to find. The end result exceeded our expectations.

Arthur Thornton

Your assistance for all the other incidental outside items required was invaluable, for without your knowledge we would not have known what was best. We were also very pleased you could both spend significant time to help renovate our Sydney properties.

Stephen Remington

I was very happy with the work done by Mr Lenarduzzi. The work was carried out expeditiously and was completed precisely in accordance with the schedule, an unprecedented achievement in my experience of domestic building work. The work did not cost any more than the quotation plus specifically agreed to variations. There were no “hidden surprises” at the end of the day.

Ron G. Avery

Once demolition and construction commenced I was confident that we had selected the most appropriate Builder. The construction involved extending two existing structures of different ages, one over one hundred years old and one approximately sixty years old. As a consequence many difficulties were encountered, Phil and his supporting trades were able to recommend solutions making my task so much easier.

Jan and Andrew Berry

Mr Phil Lenarduzzi’s skill and expertise in designing the project, measuring for the job and completing it to our total satisfaction were exemplary. Not only that, the job was completed well within the anticipated time frame and without mess, error or complication.

Ron Graham

Some of the necessary repairs were uncovered during the process and we were very happy with the careful sensitive nature of the Lenarduzzi’s methods and reporting as items became apparent. His team’s workmanship is of a very high standard and reliability proven at every stage.

Dr Ron Georgiou

Bendooley Street

We were first introduced to Lenarduzzi Builders by our architect in 2013 and since then have gone on to complete 3 projects of varying scope, the most recent completed in 2019.

We developed a wonderful working relationship with Phil and he was able to understand the vision we had in creating our family home, build it and turn it into a reality. The highlight of the most recent renovation is that the new addition looks like it has always been a part of the original 1920’s house and feels like it will continue to stand for many more generations.

The work was always completed in a timely manner and on schedule with great attention to detail, an outstanding standard and quality of finishes and expert craftsmanship. We are confident that with Phil’s experience to help guide and advise us to make fully informed decisions we avoided costly potential problems.

Particularly we found Phil to be

  • an excellent communicator and project manager, with regular updates on building progress and facilitating the other trades on site
  • thorough with forethought and planning, particularly when encountering any potential problems in the renovation of an older house
  • respectful of the budget and considered use of our money
  • sympathetic to the period of the house, with close attention to detail to create a seamless flow from the old to the new extension
  • meticulous with creating and maintaining a safe and clean worksite, carefully preparing the site prior to work commencing to enable our young family to continue living in our home with minimal disruption throughout the renovations and extension
  • a consistent professional approach, warmth and courtesy from Phil, his team and the trades he engages.

After 3 projects together over the past 6 years with Phillip from Lenarduzzi Builders, we would not hesitate to work with Phil again for our future building or renovation projects.

Robertson

I had the pleasure of working with Phil Lenarduzzi and his skilled team of carpenters last year (2019) for a major renovation of our house at Robertson.

As Architect and owner of a contemporary house built of steel and plywood 25 years ago, Lenarduzzi Builders were given the job of a major overhaul of all building fabric, to bring the house up to date and to last another 25 years.

The project was non-standard and Phil was more than willing to resolve architectural details in a most collaborative fashion. He brought years of experience, a team of trusted, local tradesmen and a positive manner to the job, which finished on time and within budget, given a fair amount of inevitable scope creep.

I would be more than happy to recommend Lenarduzzi Builders and hope to work with them again.

I am an architect practising in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales for the last 20 years. Until recently, I have had difficulty in finding any builder who is committed to producing fine work which is other than routine construction and detailing. However, in recent years, I have come in contact with Philip Lenarduzzi – a builder who is dedicated to his work and capable of producing carefully detailed construction. He works on the construction himself; not acting as an administrator of a number of projects as many builders do.

Philip is concerned with the quality of the work he produces. Like attracts like, and his construction team have the same attitude. It is no surprise that all his subcontracters produce the same high-quality work. He has also sourced the best specialist manufacturers and suppliers of finishing material.

Phillip runs a well-organised construction program. On-site, and by phone, he keeps me informed. Even the smallest but important details are discussed. His experience is well worth making use of. He also requests of me detailed drawings in time for when he will require them, and/or materials to be selected for upcoming work. It is the ideal builder/architecture relationship.

Philip himself is a very pleasant person to work with. His behaviour is very relaxed, but still highly professional. This manner is the same with all his employees and contractors, but he can be firm and authoratative if he has to be so.

He gets on well with clients with whom he has the same relaxed attitude. It is no wonder he is in demand here as his reputation spreads. If you require his services you have to join the waiting list.

I have no hesitation in recommending Philip Lenarduzzi for any building work he wishes to take on, no matter how detailed the construction or demanding the finishes.

Mr Phil Lenarduzzi, of the firm is skilled at maintaining good communications with all members of the building team, including ascertaining the client/architects detailed requirements and ensuring that the client/architects intent is carried forward into the building in the most competent way.

From our experience Lenarduzzi Builders are able to provide lump sum tenders in response to architects’ documentation and during construction have submitted detailed claims for payment in a thorough and clear way. The builder is skilled in bringing the various trades involved with a project together in an efficient way to meet to decide building program and maintaining good relations with the local Council and various building certifiers in the locality.

This firm recommends Lenarduzzi Builders without hesitation for the type of work described above when a first-class and well-managed job is desired.

Bibury

I am a structural engineer and a director of Hughes Truman Pty Ltd. We are consulting engineering practice with specialisation in the restoration and adaptive re-use of heritage buildings and structures.

Mr Philip Lenarduzzi was the builder of one of our projects, ‘Bibury’ at Burradoo, in the year 2001.

The project was an extremely complicated and difficult restoration and conversion of an historically important building. It became apparent after the works commenced and wall linings were stripped that the building was in a very delicate state and in much worse structural condition than expected.

I was most impressed with the way that Phil rose to the challenge of returning the building to its former glory despite all the unexpected challenges.

He was a pleasure to work with and, apart from being a very competent builder, he displayed a great attitude and work ethic despite the difficulties in imposed upon him. He also brought forward innovative ideas to ensure the success of the project.

We wish Phil well on future projects and look forward to working with him again.

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Lenarduzzi Builders.

Phil Lenarduzzi was the only builder of the three I contacted that bothered to come and look at my architect plans for the renovation to ‘Balnagowan’ in Moss Vale. After meeting with Phil I didn’t bother with anyone else, and construction commenced in June 1998.

The renovation was extensive and as well as being a hands-on perfectionist builder, Phil was extremely competent as a project manager. No problem was too great and if he saw an opportunity to save money without compromising the excellent standards required of the design, he always had a satisfactory solution. He developed an excellent relationship with both myself and the architect Deece Giles (who subsequently engaged him for a project of his own) and Phil and his tradespeople were always courteous, prompt and very communicative.

Then in around 2001? using the same architect I embarked on another renovation with Phil and his team and my expectations from the previous job were well met.

In 2005, we worked together again on ‘Hamilton Cottage’ in Hamilton Avenue and although the job was not as big as the first two, it was still reasonably significant and beautifully carried out by Phil and his team.

During 2011, Phil Lenarduzzi was contracted to build our new house between Mittagong and Bowral. Of all the buildings I have constructed in my life, of which there have been dozens, I can honestly say that this has been the most enjoyable, problem free, professionally handled, on budget build I have ever had.

Philip’s knowledge, experience, professional attitude and general demeanour were second to none. His ability to deal with the changes I kept making, without frustration or rancour was the outstanding.

This was a reasonably complicated build with big spans, high ceilings and large glass panels, all of which he was able to coordinate without the slightest difficulty.

Outstanding two was finished product. His work and that of the tradesmen and subcontractors he employs is what I call “old school”. The finishes he has achieved in this house are perfect.

I recommend him to you without hesitation. You are dealing with the most reliable, honest fair and competent of men.

If you require any further into information or wish to look at an example of his work please give me a call.
